Sīrah for Kids (Weekly @ ICC Tempe)

In-Person Halaqa | ICC Tempe | Re-Starts April 26 | Fridays 6:15 pm (45 minutes before Maghrib)

Summary:

Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings. Star Wars. Naruto. When people think of epic stories, they think of these tales they’ve either read or saw on screen.

But stories like these didn’t even happen. And even if did, they would never be able to parallel the greatest story: the Sīrah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Devotion, bravery, perseverance, love, heartbreak, strategy, treachery, plot twists, good guys, bad guys, complicated characters, and so much more that makes this tale greater than any other.

When we experience the story of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we begin to see that he experienced all of the difficulties we do and more, and it’s so empowering to witness. Because when we go through a certain difficulty, we can see just how the Prophet ﷺ dealt with that same situation.

To love someone is to know them. The greatest reason to learn the Sīrah, is to fall in love with the Beloved of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ loves every member of his Ummah, and as we gradually get to know him, our love for him naturally grows.
