Learning Islam holistically in community
Helping people connect deeply with
Allah ﷻ, His Messenger ﷺ, and each other
through knowledge and worship.
Afiyah (عافية): all-encompassing and holistic well-being
We are made up of hearts, spirits, minds, and bodies. When we explore our abundant Islamic tradition and begin implementing its practice into our lives with the support of a community, we become balanced and illumined individuals. Our goal is to support others in learning how to live a life of well-being in every aspect of their reality through Islamic knowledge.
-
Knowledge
One of our main intentions is to make personally obligatory knowledge (fard ‘ayn) accessible to all people. The greatest knowledge that we teach is the knowledge of who Allah ﷻ and the Prophet ﷺ are, and this is our top priority in our curriculum.
-
Worship
It is through knowledge that we are able to worship Allah ﷻ as He loves, and once we put into practice what we learn, we are then able to experience transformational change. The primary way we support you in this regard is by teaching you the knowledge that will facilitate your personal worship, as well as providing spaces of gathering for Qur’an reading and remembrance.
-
Connection
We need to connect in order to grow. The Prophet ﷺ had to connect with His Teacher, Angel Jibrīl, before knowledge could be transferred. Connection allows us to learn in an incomparable way, which facilitates our worship and deepens our connection to Allah, the Prophet, ourselves, and those around us.
